Substitute School Nurses (RN, BSN, CSN, etc.). Current and valid Nursing licenses and CPR certification are required for substitute nursing positions in the District's school buildings. Nurses may be called to substitute for school nurses or for personal on-on-one care situations at multiple educational levels, or to accompany groups of students on field trips.
Substitute school nurses must possess a current RN license or a School Nurse Certification. Applicants who do not hold a school nurse certification in Pennsylvania will be required to complete an online Emergency Permit through the Pennsylvania Department of Education ( TIMS System) upon hire along with the submission of sealed college transcripts.
Substitute Licesened Practical Nurses (LPN). Current and valid LPN license and CPR certification are required for personal one-on-one care situtations at multiple educational levels.
